Body Types
Geckles can present a variety of body types and shapes, there's no real limit on how they can choose to present themselves! Examples below show Short, Chubby, Tall and Average sizes tho don't let that stop you from creating your ideal Geckle.
They can range from 4ft-7ft!

The Biology of Gecks
Geckles have a wide range of biological factors to take into account though nothing to fret over really!

A More in Depth Look
Now onto the bigger meatier stuff! While its unknown to how they were discovered, evolved or even brought about through other means there's still a lot of information we have gathered to share!

Storage Sac Guide
|
Mouth/tongue color will always be the same color as Sacs which in turn can only be 1 color solid color though multiple shades of the same color can still be used or shown within these sacs! Below are some examples you can take inspiration from when designing your Geckle's Sacs.
Geckles and Reproduction
Geckles aren't oblivious to sex and gender, they know of such concepts existing and it isn't a new and totally forbidden topic to touch on.
Geckles may present any gender they desire at any given time or present as genderless. Geckles may be any sex they desire at any given time or present as sexless as well! Gender doesn't equal sex for them, and they can reproduce no matter the sex or gender of the other! (Please note this group is purely SFW, we don't forbid you making NSFW if you desire but please keep them out of the server or public areas of our group!). |
Life Cycle
The life cycle of a Geckle is not as complex as one may think, they go through various stages of growth before their eventual death and burial but we're here to explain what each stage means!
A. Incubation Phase
Geckles will lay eggs roughly 1 month after gestation, usually these clutches range from 1-3 eggs typically but never exceed 5. Eggs are usually surrounded by small rocks and pebbles to keep them neat and secure in place as to not move around and left in a warm damp area until they hatch. They are watched and guarded fiercely by their parent or guardians during this time. |
B. Hatchling Phase (1-2 years)
Geckles are extremely defenseless at this stage, they will begin crawling shortly after hatching and don't begin to learn how to walk on all 4 of their legs until roughly a year and a half to 2 years in. During this time though they rely heavily on their parent or guardian to help care for them as they start learning about the world around them. |
C. Toddler "Raptor" Phase (3-10 years)
When Geckles start learning how to walk on their hind legs they first enter what's called a 'raptor' stage where their movements are very similar to that of raptors as they get used to shifting their weight around and how to carry themselves. They're extra rambuctious at this stage. |
D. Adolescent Phase (11-18 years)
Geckles at this stage have started to figure out how to walk a bit more properly, they're still a bit awkward and life may be confusing for them, they still rely on their parents at this stage but they're a bit more independent now. |
E. Adult Phase (19-???)
Congratulations you've now made it into adulthood! Your Storage Sacs have now fully grown in and you're ready to begin taking up your adult responsibilities and task and move out and live the life you've always wanted! |
F. Elderly "Raptor" Phase (500+)
Once Geckles have reached a certain stage in their life they begin to 'revert' as some call it. They loose their Storage Sacs, they begin to grow blind and turn back into a more raptor-esque shape as their body prepares for the afterlife. This stage starts different for every Geckle, some way earlier, some way later, but overall, Geckles can live for a pretty long time! |
And that's all you need to know biologically about Geckles! Maybe in the future this page will be expanded and more/new things will be covered, but for now hope you enjoyed all the info we had to provide on these silly little guys!
